World Tourism day
Every 27 September, the World Tourism Day is celebrated internationally. The Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife & Antiquities, Uganda Tourism Board, Uganda Wildlife Authority, AUTO, UTA, UHOA, UCOTA and Kabarole District Local government together with other tourism organizations and stakeholders have organized this eventful day for the year 2013 to take place at the Booma Grounds in Fort Portal.
This year’s theme is Tourism and Water; Protecting our common future.
In Uganda, celebrations to mark this event shall lead us to Fort Portal town in Western Uganda. Celebrations will also be held after the Coronation anniversary ceremony of the King of Tooro. UTB is working closely with Tooro Kingdom to synergize the two functions to achieve maximum mileage from 24 - 27 September, 2013.
UTB has partnered with Sunrise Apartments International, Jerusalem Paradise Hotel, Kalya Courts Ltd., Tooro Resort Royal Palm Cottages, Hotel Atlantica, Rwenzori Travellers Inn, Visit Tours Hotel, Saaka Motel, Kenneth Inn, Hilton Tours Hotel, Rajja Motel, The Equator Snow Lodge, Rwenzori Foot Hills, and Geolodges among others.
These events shall culminate on World Tourism Day the 27th September.
As Ugandans are well-known, U're all welcome!
