    Join Uganda Tourism Board to celebrate this year's World Tourism Day between 24 - 27 September, 2014 at Mbale Municipal Council Groundsl in Eastern Uganda.

    Every 27 September, the World Tourism Day is celebrated internationally. The Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife & Antiquities, Uganda Tourism Board, Uganda Wildlife Authority, AUTO, UTA, UHOA, UCOTA and District officials from Mbale  together with other tourism organizations and stakeholders have organized this eventful day for the year 2014 to take place at the Mbale Municipal Council Grounds in Greater Mbale, Eastern Uganda.

    This year’s theme is Tourism and Community Development.

    In Uganda, celebrations to mark this event shall lead us to Mbale town in Eastern Uganda. Celebrations will also be held after the Coronation anniversary ceremony of the King of Tooro. UTB is working closely with Tooro Kingdom to synergize the two functions to achieve maximum mileage from 24 - 27 September, 2014.

    Uganda Tourism Board  in collaboration with Ministry of Tourism and agencies, such as  UWA, UWEC, District officials from Mbale, Tourism police, security agencies and the private sector will hold a number of meetings to prepare for the eventful celebrations which will run from the 24th to 27th September 2014.
